The 3rd Honor of Kings National Competition Grand Final

The 3rd Honor of Kings National Competition Grand Final was another major national eventundertaken by MAG Studio following the 5th Honor of Kings City Tournament National GrandFinal organized by Tencent, which represented the highest level of competition among themass events of Honor of Kings. From the ceremony, choreography to the interaction with thesurroundings, it combined the Wuhan culture and the Jingchu Culture closely and upgraded theonline content into an all-round online and offline experience. The event has effectivelycontributed to the promotion of the city and the integration of culture and sports,activating the industrial dynamics and cultural potential of esports, and creating a newsituation for the integration of esports with cultural creation, technology, tourism,entertainment, and other industries.
In this event, Mr. Fang Qin, the curator of Hubei Provincial Museum, presented the Sword ofGoujian (known as the “World’s Greatest Sword”) as the token to the Honor of Kings NationalCompetition. With the war drums beating and the use of XR technology, the dazzling flames ofthe soaring phoenix staged a new esports experience combining historical culture and esportsculture for this national competition. This event is more than a big step for mass events,it is a significant step for Wuhan's esports industry to move towards being the next majorcity in China's esports industry.

China Digital Ice and Snow Games

Government Events

Organized by the General Administration of Sports of China Winter Sports Management Center and supported by the General Administration of Sports of China, the China Digital Ice and Snow Games is the first nationwide ice and snow esports events, the first digital ice and snow games and the largest ice and snow esports events in China. The first China Digital Ice and Snow Games was officially launched in Guangzhou in September 2020, and has been successfully held for two sessions. The event is based on the skiing game "STEEP", and in the second session of the event, " Honor of Kings" tournament and "National Tabletop Curling College League" were added. Using VR, 3D physical experience, liquid ice and
other technological means, the event breaks through the seasonal and geographical restrictions of ice and snow sports, and builds a platform for ice and snow sports fans to participate and always experience. The event mode started from the competition of national online/offline qualifiers, and finally presented to the ice and snow sports and esports fans in the form of Ice and Snow Gaming Carnival Grand Final.

Note 1: XR technology, Extended Reality, is a collective term for VR (Virtual Reality), AR (Augmented Reality), and MR (Mixed Reality). Through wearable devices and computer technology, XR can bring the audience a combined real and virtual, human-computer interaction environment.
